Pharmasaga Holds Productive Day 3 Meetings as PS1 Draws Interest from Pharmaceutical Companies, Investors, and Clinical Experts

Pharmasaga continued its participation in the US BIO Convention 2026. On the third day of business meetings, Pharmasaga held discussions with multiple international pharmaceutical companies, clinical trial experts, CROs, and strategic investment institutions. Important progress was made in licensing cooperation, clinical development, and investment opportunities, demonstrating the strong potential and market value of PS1 in the global diabetes treatment field.

International pharmaceutical company begins CDA evaluation, deepening potential PS1 licensing cooperation

Pharmasaga held its first meeting with an international pharmaceutical company that has a long-standing presence in the U.S. and Canadian markets for many years and has an annual revenue exceeding 10 billion USD. Both sides exchanged views on PS1's innovative mechanism of action, clinical development strategy, and future market opportunities.

Their company expressed strong interest in PS1's therapeutic strategy, which focuses on protecting pancreatic β-cells and restoring its function. Both parties agreed to sign a Confidential Disclosure Agreement (CDA), allowing their R&D and medical teams to conduct deeper scientific and clinical discussions and jointly evaluate the possibility of future licensing cooperation and co-development.

For Pharmasaga, this not only represents recognition from an international pharmaceutical company of PS1's scientific foundation and commercial potential but also marks an important milestone in advancing its future global licensing strategy.

International clinical experts and diabetes research center join discussions to improve the probability of Phase II clinical success

In addition to licensing cooperation, Pharmasaga also engaged with a U.S. research center specializing in diabetes clinical trials and experienced clinical physicians.

Both parties agreed to sign a confidentiality agreement, after which the other party's medical team will formally review Pharmasaga's Phase II clinical trial protocol. Participation from experts with extensive experience in diabetes drug development will help optimize the trial design, patient recruitment strategy, and trial execution process.

For any novel drug candidate, Phase II clinical trials are a critical stage for validating efficacy and commercial value. This collaboration with U.S. diabetes clinical experts is expected not only to improve the probability of trial success, but also to shorten the time needed for trial initiation and execution, accelerating PS1's entry into the next stage of global development.

Exchange with leading international Clamp CRO establishes a high-quality foundation for clinical evaluation

Pharmasaga also held discussions with an international CRO that has extensive experience conducting Clamp Studies. The glucose clamp technique is regarded as one of the key gold standards for evaluating glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity, and it holds significant value in the field of diabetes drug development.

Through exchanges with international professional teams, the company gained deeper insight into future clinical study design and execution strategies, building a stronger scientific and technical foundation for PS1's subsequent global clinical development.

Strategic investor expressed interest in PS1's mechanism and plans to seek co-investment partners for further evaluation

During the convention, Pharmasaga also held discussions with a strategic investor focused on identifying therapies with disease-reversing potential and novel mechanisms of action.

Notably, the investor is a Type 1 diabetes patient and therefore has a deep personal understanding of the long-term treatment challenges faced by diabetes patients. The investor noted that most diabetes drugs currently on the market focus mainly on blood glucose control, while there remains a clear unmet medical need for therapies that address the root causes of the disease.

After learning about PS1's mechanism of action and the R&D achievements accomplished, the investor expressed strong interest in its future potential and stated that they would further seek partners with similar investment views to jointly evaluate future investment and strategic cooperation opportunities.

PS1 targets the root cause of diabetes and receives consistent recognition from international pharmaceutical companies and investors

In recent years, increasing research has indicated that the decline in pancreatic β-cell function and reduction in β-cell mass are among the key reasons for the continued progression of diabetes. However, most diabetes drugs currently on the market primarily aim to lower blood glucose or improve insulin resistance, while effective therapies for protecting and restoring pancreatic islet cell function remain limited.

PS1, currently under development by Pharmasaga, is a first-in-class PDIA4 inhibitor. By directly acting on pancreatic islet cells, it reduces oxidative stress, protects β-cell function, and may promote the restoration of islet function, thereby slowing diabetes progression at its source.

During the US BIO Convention, discussions with pharmaceutical companies, clinical experts, and strategic investors indicated continued interest in PS1's potential role in addressing unmet needs in diabetes treatment.

Advancing Partnerships with Pharmaceutical Companies, Clinical Experts, and Investors

By strengthening partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, investment institutions, clinical experts, and industry partners, Pharmasaga is steadily advancing PS1's global clinical development and licensing cooperation process.

The company will continue to focus on scientific innovation, expand international cooperation opportunities, and accelerate PS1's path toward the global market. Pharmasaga aims to bring new treatment options to diabetes patients while continuing to support the company's long-term corporate goals.
